Traditional Hammam & Massage
Overview
A Moroccan hammam follows the same steps it has for centuries, and this visit takes you through all of them. The spa is about 10 minutes from the Agadir hotels and 25 minutes from Taghazout.
It starts in the steam room, where the heat opens the pores. Black soap made from olives is applied, then the attendant scrubs your skin with a kessa glove. After rinsing, rhassoul clay from the Atlas is applied and rinsed off, and the session ends with a massage using argan oil.
Mint tea and snacks are served in the relaxation area before the drive back. For another side of local life, see the argan oil cooperative tour.
