Multi-dayAgadir desert tours take two or three days, because the Sahara begins on the far side of the Atlas. Spend a night in a nomad camp near Zagora, or three days reaching the high dunes of Erg Chigaga, both in a private vehicle. For cities instead of sand, take two days in Essaouira and Marrakech.

Multi-day
Multi-day
Multi-dayBoth desert tours go through Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou. The difference is the time you have and how far into the dunes you want to go.
A private 4×4 from your hotel, a sunset camel ride and sandboarding, a night in a nomad camp, then Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou on the drive back.
Higher dunes further south, reached past M’hamid. Two nights, one in Zagora and one in the desert camp, with dinners and breakfasts included.
Lunches, drinks and entry fees in Ouarzazate are paid separately. On the Erg Chigaga tour, camel rides are not included.
Desert nights can be cold, so pack a warm layer.
Day one is Essaouira, with free time in the medina and by the port, then the road to Marrakech and a night in a 4-star hotel. Day two covers the Majorelle Garden and a guided walk through the medina before the drive back to Agadir. Breakfast on day two is included; garden and palace tickets are not.
For a single day in either city, see the day trips from Agadir. For dunes close to the coast, try the Timlalin dunes.
No. The desert camps near Zagora are too far for a return trip in one day, which is why these tours last two or three days. For dunes within an hour of Agadir, see the Timlalin dunes.
Yes. The Zagora and Erg Chigaga tours run in a private vehicle for your group only. The Essaouira and Marrakech tour is a guided tour.
