Timlalin DunesThe Timlalin dunes rise above the Atlantic about an hour north of Agadir, near the village of Tamri. Seven tours go there, from a one-hour quad ride to a sunset camel ride with dinner, most of them with hotel pickup.

The dunes sit on the coast between Tamri and Imsouane, north of Taghazout: a strip of high, soft sand that ends at the ocean, with narrow sandstone canyons close by. The area is sometimes called the Timlalin desert, and the name is also spelled Timlaline.
The road there follows the coast through Taghazout to Tamri, a village known for its banana plantations, where most morning tours stop for mint tea.
Prices are per adult, with a lower price for children on every tour.

Timlalin DunesFour ways to spend time in the same dunes, depending on your pace and the time of day.
A relaxed half day. After a short briefing you ride the slopes seated or standing, at your own pace, then walk through a sandstone canyon. 5 hours with pickup, from €42.
For speed. The one-hour ride starts at the quad base in the dunes, with helmet, goggles and an instructor. One quad per adult aged 16 and over, from €25.
For the end of the day. A camel ride at sunset is part of the Desert Dinner (from €60) and of the Tamri ride with barbecue (from €49).
The Quad, Camel & Sandboard Adventure fits an hour of quad biking, a 30-minute camel ride and sandboarding into one morning, from €67.
All tours except the one-hour quad ride include pickup and drop-off at hotels in Agadir, Taghazout, Tamraght and Imi Ouaddar, in an air-conditioned vehicle. Morning tours leave at 08:30; the evening tours leave at 16:00 or 16:30 to reach the coast for sunset.
For the one-hour quad ride you meet us at the quad base in the dunes. Without a car, the Quad, Camel & Sandboard Adventure is the easier choice, as the transfer is included.
Quad and buggy rides closer to the city are on the Agadir activities page, and two day trips from Agadir combine Paradise Valley with the dunes.
About an hour by road, north along the coast past Taghazout and Tamri. From Taghazout the drive is shorter.
No. Each activity starts with a safety briefing. Quad drivers must be 16 or older; younger children ride as passengers.
Closed shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen and clothes you do not mind getting sandy. Take a light jacket for the evening tours.
On the day, in cash, at pickup. Cancelling is free until 24 hours before the start.
