Nature: Paradise Valley and Souss-Massa

Paradise Valley lies in the Atlas foothills north-east of Agadir, with natural pools and palm trees along the river. Go for a half day, add the dunes or a quad ride, or ride a quad there and back. South of Agadir, Souss-Massa National Park has oryx, addax, gazelles and ostriches, and its river mouth is a stop for birdwatchers.

Cities: Essaouira, Marrakech, Taroudant

Essaouira, up the coast, has a walled medina, the Skala ramparts and a fishing port; the trip includes a guided walk and about two hours on your own. Marrakech is a longer day over the High Atlas, from the Koutoubia through the souks to Jemaa el-Fna. Inland Taroudant keeps its earth walls and market, and the day ends with lunch at the Tiout kasbah. Each city trip runs on set days, shown on the cards.

Coast: Legzira and Tiznit

South of Agadir, Legzira beach is known for its red cliffs and rock arches; the day adds a guided visit of walled Tiznit, a pottery stop and lunch. The small desert tour by 4×4 heads the same way, with the fishermen’s caves at Sidi R’bat, small dunes and the Youssef Ben Tachfine dam.

It depends on the day you want. For nature and a swim, Paradise Valley. For a seaside city, Essaouira, which is closer than Marrakech. For the big city and its souks, Marrakech, on a longer day. For something unusual, the arches of Legzira.

Between 07:00 and 09:00 depending on the trip: 07:20 for Marrakech, 07:30 for Essaouira and 08:30 for most others. Times can differ for Taghazout; the exact time for your hotel is confirmed after booking.

Each trip page lists what is included. Lunch is part of the Paradise Valley and dunes days, Legzira, Taroudant, the small desert tour and the birdwatching day; park entry is included on both Souss-Massa trips.
