Overview

Overview

The shortest way to spend a night in the Sahara from Agadir. Day one crosses the mountains through Taliouine, known for saffron, and Taznakht, known for Berber carpets, with stops at kasbahs and palm oases and lunch in Taznakht.

At Zagora you ride a camel across the dunes at sunset, or keep the ride for sunrise if you prefer. Dinner is served at a nomad camp with local music, and you spend the night in the camp. Sandboarding on the dunes is included.

Day two starts with sunrise over the desert and breakfast at the camp. The drive back stops in Ouarzazate for the Taourirt kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios, then at Ait Ben Haddou for free time and lunch, before arriving in Agadir or Taghazout in the late afternoon. Travel is in a private air-conditioned 4x4.
