Souss-Massa National Park
Overview
Souss-Massa National Park covers about 338 square kilometres of dunes, wetlands and scrub south of Agadir. It is a protected area for species that had almost disappeared from Morocco, and it is only a 30-minute drive from the city.
The visit starts at the park museum, which introduces the animals living there. You then drive inside the park and stop as often as needed to watch and photograph the scimitar-horned oryx, addax, dama and dorcas gazelles and ostriches.
Entry tickets are included; food and drinks are not. For a full day focused on birds, including the Massa River wetlands, see the birdwatching tour.
